1st BN IRB was designated as Nodal Agency for Disaster Management in Haryana State vide letter No 2465/P-5 dated 19.03.2013 and 1st IRB was further identified as HSDRF vide letter No. 14112/Ops-2 dated 25.07.2014 of DGP Haryana and in compliance of Hon'ble CM announcement made on 12.05.2015 and presently working as HSDRF.
Inspector General of Police, IRB, Bhondsi, Gurugram is declared as Nodal Officer by Director General of Police, Haryana for Haryana State Disaster Response Force.
Total 241 Police personnel are trained in CSSR/MFR and 70 Police personnel are trained in CBRNE and 74 Police personnel are trained in Flood Rescue. All the trained personnel are deployed in various companies of 1st IRB, in different districts of the state.
Purpose of SDRF
To train/develop more rescuers in SDRF with updated knowledge and skills in the field of disaster response which enable them to replicate the same at their organization . The helps of NDMA in connection with operation done by the HSDRF team are to be obtained from time to time.
Purpose of this SOP is for establishing the procedure for imparting the training to the SAR Team(s) of the SDRF in the States/UTs. The SOP prescribes guidance and assigns responsibility for adopting various executive actions to ensure institutionalized & structured training mechanism.
Objective of SDRF
Understand the concepts, methodology and techniques of search and rescue operation in different disaster situations, including collapsed structure search and rescue operations, urban search and rescue operations and rope rescue operations, as also to familiarize with the various equipment and tools used for the same.
- Understand the basics of emergency medical response and principles of patient assessment and management.
- Become familiar with the essential of equipment maintenance and high rise rescue.
- Acquire the requisite life saving skills needed for water and flood rescue operation.
- To gain familiarity with pre-hospital medical management of CBRN emergencies.
